How Living Essence handles personal information.

This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, who helps us process it, and how you can ask us to correct, export, or delete your information.

Google Sign-In gives us only the profile basics needed to create and secure your account. Cohort, journal, message, payment, and support data stay governed by the role and privacy rules in the product.

Information we collect

  • Account information, including your name, email address, authentication provider, profile image, and login metadata.
  • Application and cohort information, including application answers, agreement confirmations, scholarship requests, enrollment status, payment status, and support messages.
  • Learning and community activity, including course progress, event participation, journal privacy preferences, direct messages, posts, comments, uploads, and notification preferences.
  • Technical information, including device, browser, session, security, analytics, error, and usage data needed to operate and improve the platform.

Google Sign-In data

  • If you use Google Sign-In, Living Essence receives the basic Google profile information needed to create and secure your account: your Google account identifier, email address, name, and profile image if available.
  • We use Google data only for authentication, account creation, account recovery, and keeping your profile recognizable inside Living Essence. We do not sell Google user data or use it for advertising.

How we use information

  • We use personal information to provide the Living Essence platform, process applications and enrollment, run cohorts, deliver support, manage billing, personalize account access, send service messages, prevent abuse, and improve reliability.
  • We use analytics and diagnostic data to understand whether the platform is working, where people get stuck, and which production issues need repair.

Payments and providers

  • Payments are processed by our payment provider. Living Essence may store payment status, plan, invoice, and checkout metadata, but full card details are handled by the payment provider.
  • We use trusted service providers for hosting, database, authentication, payments, email, analytics, storage, messaging, and support operations. They may process information only as needed to provide those services.

Privacy controls

  • Journal entries, direct messages, support threads, course access, uploads, and community spaces are designed around account access and role-based permissions.
  • Some areas are private by default; some are shared by cohort or community context. Where the product gives you a privacy choice, your selected setting controls future activity unless you change it.

Retention and deletion

  • We keep information for as long as needed to operate the service, meet legal, financial, security, and support obligations, resolve disputes, and preserve legitimate platform records.
  • You can request access, correction, export, or deletion of personal information by contacting support. Some records may need to be retained when required for security, accounting, legal, or abuse-prevention reasons.

Security

  • Living Essence uses access controls, provider-managed authentication, database policies, operational monitoring, and production security checks to protect personal information.
  • No online service can guarantee absolute security. We keep the platform under active review and fix confirmed risks as part of normal production operations.

Changes

  • We may update this policy as the platform, providers, or legal requirements change. The effective date shows when this version became active.
  • Material changes will be reflected on this page, and when appropriate, communicated through the product or account email.
